Pafos

Pafos
The region of Pafos is situated on the west coast of the island and is the site of the island's second international airport. It is a resort town having a fishing harbour as its focal point next to the Fort of Pafos. Included in the Pafos Region are the popular resort areas of Pegia and Coral Bay,

Pafos is also close to the islands main golf courses at Secret Valley and Aphrodite Hills, and also an important area for winemaking.

Peyia
Peyia is situated to the north of Pafos and over the years has proved to be particularly popular with UK ex-pats and much development continues to take place to satisfy the increasing demand for retirement and holiday homes, it is also an excellent location for investment properties.

Peyia is located on a sloping landscape that offers excellent sea and mountain views from almost anywhere in the area and being only a ten minute drive from Pafos itself and a few minutes drive from the popular Coral Bay beaches it is easy to see why Peyia continues to be one of the most attractive and sought after areas.

Only a twenty minute drive from Pafos International airport, so transfer times are good.

The region also offers the beautiful Akamas peninsular which encompasses the towns of Polis and Latchi where development is taking place at a slower rate.

Pafos Town
Pafos Town offers all amenities to the visitor and resident alike with a modern shopping centre, which has many boutiques as well as the traditional market place. Modern supermarkets are widespread; you will enjoy seeing the old alongside the new in this lovely town. It is also home to many businesses and now has two International schools, so buying in or near central Pafos Town will appeal to residents and business people who need a base in the region, it is also only a five minute drive from the beach so properties in this location will be attractive to all types of purchasers.

Pafos - Tourist area Kato Pafos
The tourist area of Kato Pafos has all that you would expect from a resort. The focal point is the Fort of Pafos, which overlooks the fishing harbour which is lined with an excellent variety of tavernas, restaurants and shops.

For those who like some nightlife then there is the recently pedestrianised bar street area, which has a good selection of bars, restaurants nightclubs and discos.

Properties in this area are particularly suited for the holiday let market and in some cases contracts with major tour operators can be secured giving excellent annual rental returns.

Further out towards the airport places that are gaining in popularity due to the lower prices, are; Geroskipou which is a sizeable village and only a five minute drive into central Pafos. The same distance north west of Pafos is Konia and a bit further up Marathounda much quieter but elevated and giving beautiful distant sea views. Along the coast and past the airport is Mandria, a small village close to the coast and boasting a large, unspoilt pebble beach. Here development is growing but amenities are in short supply. A further benefit is that Mandria is close to the two excellent golf courses at Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley so enjoy the close proximity to golf and a beachside home at a third of the price of on golf properties.
